Etiquette & Training Rules
Sifu John treats etiquette seriously. Good manners and etiquette are an indication of good character and only those with good character will be taught Wing Chun.
All students are expected to follow a code of behaviour:
- No glass bottles or canned drinks.
- No chewing of gum.
- No inappropriate clothing. Be as plain in your colours as possible if you have not purchased the uniform. All clothing should be washed and clean without any unhygienic smell.
- Show your traditional sign of respect when entering and exiting the school hall.
- Be courteous to your fellow colleagues at all times and show your respect when you partner up and leave your colleague.
- Absolutely no profanities are to be used in the school.
- The school is not a dating or social ground. Please refrain from making a colleague feel uncomfortable.
- You should always have valid insurance licence after two months of training.
- If you have an injury or disability, which may affect your training, you must advise your instructor before you take part in the lesson.
- Your teacher must be addressed as Sifu at all times.
If there are anything, which you feel unsure of please do not hesitate to ask your teacher.
